Whenever, Wherever YA Want Book Club Launch

Do you put things off until the last minute? Christmas cards, turning in applications, washing dishes, reading that novel for book club? There never seems to be enough time in the day to get everything done, right? You don’t procrastinate because you like it, you procrastinate because that is how you get things done. I ought to know I’m a natural born procrastinator; I just can’t help it; it’s the way I am. I do always get things done, I just need that deadline to be looming over me for me to get up and do it. Consequently, I’ve never really joined any book clubs because it feels like I’d never have time to read the books and would always be cramming to get them read at the last minute or not being able to attend meetings because other things would come up. Reading is a definite passion of mine, just not on a schedule. If you are a procrastinator like me, I’ve got just the thing for you!! The “Whenever, Wherever YA Want Online Bookclub” for adults reading young adult books and meeting in an online group whenever and wherever YA want. It’s ingenious really. Each month there will be a YA selection that all the members can read whenever and wherever YA want. The title will be posted in the group the first Monday of each month and you can get the book online to read or pick up a copy in the library. You can read it whenever and wherever YA want. Questions will be posted the last Monday of the month and you can read them and think about them and answer whenever, and wherever YA want. If it takes you 2 months to read the book, the questions will be there. If you read it at the last minute before the new title is posted, the questions will be there. If you finish it in the middle of the night, the questions and responses will be there. Leave your own response and join the conversation or just read others’ thoughts in the grocery line and think on them and the novel throughout your day. You get to join a community of readers and share your passion without any pressure. You can do it on your own time and in your own way and you still get the back and forth of other readers who are just like you. Search “Whenever, Wherever YA want Online Bookclub” on Facebook and join, then contact the library if you’d like a copy of the book to read. It’s as simple as that!
