About the Charles City Public Library
Visiting the library- The library’s address is 106 Milwaukee Mall but we are actually located on Clark Street next to City Hall. Click here for a map with our location and parking.
Library Hours and Holidays- With the exception of holidays, the library is open Monday-Thursday 10am to 8 pm, Fridays 10am-5 pm and Saturdays 1-5 pm. The library observes the same holidays as the City of Charles City. They are:
New Year’s Day
Friday after Thanksgiving
If Christmas Eve falls on Monday through Thursday, an additional one-half day is also observed as a holiday. If a holiday falls on Sunday, Monday will be considered the holiday. If a holiday falls on Saturday, the preceding Friday will be observed.
Library Board- The Charles City Public Library Board of Trustees meets on the second Thursday of each month at 5:15pm in the library’s meeting room. For information on who serves as a library trustee or what library boards do, click here.
